Boxer PRO comes with a EURO6 (AdBlue) version of the Peugeot 2.0L HDi turbo diesel engine specially tuned for this application to deliver maximum fuel economy. On the ADR 81 Combined Cycle test Boxer used just 6.4L/100km# – outstanding for a van of its size and load carrying capability. It’s a smooth and tractable powerplant that goes about its business with the minimum of fuss – and at the minimum cost. Even with a relatively modest 120Kw power output you’ll find Boxer’s around-town performance surprisingly spritely, courtesy of a light and user-friendly 6-speed manual transmission that’s been fitted with a gear-set optimised to make the most of Boxer’s power output at typically lower Australian road speeds. Peak torque of 310Nm comes in at just 1500 rpm’s, further enhancing driveability.

Boxer Van comes in a single model – the Long Wheel Base Boxer PRO. The cargo bay is 3.7M long at floor level, allowing for up to three Aussie pallets to be shipped through either the rear swing doors or the left hand sliding side door. A 1.9M internal roof height means plenty of standing room, especially important for couriers that spend a lot of time in the back of their van. The front wheel drive powertrain keeps external dimensions compact – despite its cavernous 13 m3 cargo bay Boxer is only slightly over 2.5M high unladen – perfect for anyone operating where clearance is tight. A full steel bulkhead is standard, keeping you and your load separate. This bulkhead features an innovative opening window that allows for airflow front to back – useful if you’re carrying temperature sensitive goods. Towing capacity is 2.5T.
Boxer PRO comes with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Stability Control, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Avoidance standard. Comfort and visibility are also important to safety – a spacious and airy cabin and light steering and clutch help to reduce fatigue, while large glass areas and mirrors improves to give you visibility – traditionally a big van weak point. A wide-view rear camera and sensors make reversing easier and safer.
Keeping the driver comfortable for long days in the saddle is a multi-adjustable seat with lumbar support and armrest. A fixed bench does seating duty for two passengers. There’s a full-featured instrument cluster that includes a tachometer, a suggested gear change indicator, oil level gauge and a multi-function trip computer. Air Conditioning with Pollen Filter keep the cabin cool and allergen free. Storage options abound – there’s an overhead shelf, an A4 dash tray with lid, and numerous small pockets and trays. The door pockets will hold a 1.5L bottle, and there are three cup holders.
